Pray, Go, Grow
PRAY, GO, GROW by Kevin Johnson
As we enter 2025, I want to share with you my heart and vision for FBC for this year. Just as in the early church they gathered steadfastly and in unity with gladness and simplicity, my prayer is the same for FBC. But it is also time to become the church God has called us to become. I encourage you to prayerfully consider joining one of these teams as a commitment to reaching the community for Christ.
The purpose of these teams is to set our vision on how to reach our community with the gospel of Jesus Christ. These three teams are based upon the Great Commission and Acts 2:40-47.
PRAYER TEAM – This team will be dedicated to focused prayer in three key areas: 1. For the lost to find salvation. 2. For our church to grow in compassion for the lost. 3. For God to raise up more workers for His mission.
GO TEAM – This team will actively purse opportunities to engage with our community, create connections between our church and those we serve, and nurture relationships that point people to Christ.
GROW TEAM - This group will focus on discipling believers and equipping them to become disciple-makers. They will help establish discipleship groups and guide others toward a deeper, more meaningful walk with Christ.
If you would like to be a part of one or more of these teams, you can sign up in the office area or you may sign up by using our FBC app.
Our leaders will share with us on Wednesday, January 15th at 6:00 pm
Then on Wednesday January 29th we will have our first team meetings. If you would like to see what each team is about, you can cycle from one team meeting to another on January 29th to see which team or teams you might wish to join. Our goal is for each team to meet once a month on Wednesday nights.
I cannot wait to see what God is going to do in 2025
36 “When he saw the crowds, he had compassion on them, because they were harassed and helpless, like sheep without a shepherd. 37 Then he said to his disciples, “The harvest is plentiful but the workers are few. 38 Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his harvest field.” Matthew 9:36-38
