Attitudes to Gratitudes

Nov 23, 2025    Kevin Johnson, Pastor

In this message from our Attitudes to Gratitudes series, we explore the powerful transformation from Saul the persecutorto Paul the worshiper. Acts 8 shows us a man who hated the church, attacked the church, and tried to destroy it. But in Philippians 1, we see a completely changed heart — a man who overflowed with thanksgiving for the very people he once tried to silence. This sermon highlights how God can change even the hardest attitudes and turn bitterness into gratefulness. Paul’s gratitude was rooted in joy, fellowship, encouragement, and love for the local church, reminding us that what God starts, He finishes. As we walk through this passage, we are challenged to focus on what is excellent, live lives filled with the fruits of righteousness, and give glory and thanks to God alone. This message invites us to examine our own hearts and ask: Is God still transforming our attitudes into gratitude?
